I bought this unit to exchange a Chef's Choice 300 which I had used for two years with mixed reults.It took less than an hour to grind five Henkel's kitchen knives to sharper than new and they're still razor sharp one month later.

Splendid sharpener, it only takes a few seconds to put a new edge back on a knife.I'm glad I finally got this as it saves a lot of work, primarily since my hands hurt so muchand it's no longer doable to hold a knife at the assess slant for the essential amountof time needed to do it by hand.

The unit is underpowered. In the end if you put any more difficulty on the knife than its own consequence. You will stall the motor. The refined edge that it foliage is abstractedly course (mill feature). If you have a knife with a nick in the blade. It will take many many passes through the coarse side to mill sufficient down to take out it. Even the course side does not take out that much metal grinding. My test knife was a moderate feature knife with nice thick tang / blade. The knife was thick sufficient it took up in this area 2/3 of the handbook slot. After being paid the hang of just pulling the knife even if and not mind any difficulty to keep from stalling the motor. The knife is sharper than when I ongoing. But the refined edges on the side bevel is visibly coarse.The description says it will grind serated knives. But this sharpener will only grind serated knives even if the blue-collar terracotta V in the midpoint. It does NOT mill grind serated knives. If your schooling to grind serated knives, might as well save $50 and just buy one of persons hand terracotta sharpeners which is the rigorous same business as this units "Superfluous Fine" sharpener.By and large I would say I am despondent with this sharpener. I will keep it, as its best than not anything. But I will not put our good knives even if it due to the approximate finish it foliage on the blade (mill inscription). For now I will just use it for our cheaper ones. The good knives will have to be sent out.

wow -- now i can grind my own knives -- had in this area 20+ wusthof in the drawer yield i was not competent to get them sharpened aptly. this modest machine did all of them in in this area 30 outline -- AND i be inflicted with by no means used an electric sharpener before to -- i was bowled over and so was my bf with the intention of was supposed to grind them as he had the calculate - kindness it

Facility well and appears to be exceptional built. Will not hone to a shaving blade but does exceptional by and large. Would buy over again....

The sharpener facility practically well. I would have liked it to have a modest more potential for gray grinding, but it does the job. You just need to take a modest more time on gray knives that are in honest need of a foremost sharpening, Facility very good for upset up periodically

wHEN I RECEIVED MY SHARPENER I SHARPED EVERY KNIFE IN THE DRAWER TO RAZOR SHARPNESS,THEN IDID MY HUNTING KNIVES. THIS UNIT DOES A VERY NICE JOB,IT'S LIKE USING RAZOR BLADES TO TRIM ROAST,CUT VEGTABLES, SLICING JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. I RECEIVED THE PRODUCT ON TIME AND WAS IN GOOD SHAPE WHEN DELIVERED.WOULD RECOMEND THE SHARPENER FOR ALL HOUSEHOLD USES.

I purchased the Smith abrasives Shape Edge 3000 Gripping knife sharpener and so far am very pleased with the sharp edge I get on all my knives. My wife was even able to sharpen knives and they twisted out great and very sharp. I would of liked to see a stronger motor in this unit, but then again maybe it's a good thing that it slows down if too much force is put on the knife when you are sharpening it. I would recomend it to anyone for the kitchen as a must tool there.

I am very pleased with the purchase of this unit. I can sharpen household scioors, serated edged knives, and fixed steak knives. It the blink of an eye. The Unit has the skill to hone your knives as sharp as you would ever need them to do. It is compact, and fits easly on a shelf or cuppard. Heavy consequence and powerfull.
