If you've by no means old hook & disk sandpaper before, it's way better than glue backed. You don't call for to agonize in this vicinity the sandpaper sliding almost as it heats up--it really stays in house. I use the 80 grit at the initiation on clean up bring about on metal (aluminum), then up through the grits.

I posted a akin review for Bosch sandpaper. I reflect it over little difference between brands. In all-purpose, I exclusively buy sandpaper with this dark red resin to hold the grit in place. This "glue" seems to do a surpass career than whatever is used on garnet paper or the yellow Mikra ID.The most common complaints you will hear for hook-and-loop sandpaper are: It doesn't pause on the pad, or... it didn't last. These two complaints are regularly related and not necessarily a function of the sandpaper. More regularly they are a function of what is being sanded and the technique of the person. If you put too much pressure on the pad while sanding the paper loads up which in turn creates a slower sanding rank/speed and more friction. Some equipment like body interval filler are inherently "sticky" and can load up paper very promptly. The distinguished forces and biased sandpaper upshot in friction which causes excitement and with the intention of in turn damages the "hooks" on the sanding pad. In very fleeting peacefulness you have sandpaper with the intention of won't pause put and is biased up so it won't rub any longer. The answer is to use little to no additional pressure on the sander and take your time. Once you have damaged the hooks on your sanding pad, no sandpaper is going to pause on it very well.
