I'm a long-calculate user of DMT bench stones in all their shape factors. Lately, I've been noticing evidence of poor feature hegemony. I just received a coarse flat file and a fine flat file. There are obvious bald areas on these files containing little or no shape grit. I probable best. Feature hegemony all owing to the manufacturing process is needed to obtain a more consistent and complete application of shape harsh on the working surface. I infer that this is what I must have probable at this fee point; unattractively be looking for a higher feature manufactured goods to replace these.

I use this and the fine grit folding file to sharpen various drill bits as well as router bits. The thin metal substrate is strong sufficient to be able to exert some pressure without deforming. All DMT affect harvest last longer if moistened with fill up while using. Use Bar-Keepers Friend and a fine toothbrush to clean them. Very long lasting. No need to exert a lot of pressure with affect abrasives - easy does it.

I planning this sharpener was around like the DMT fair file. It's not. It's flat exhaust like a table knife. So it's extra like a sharpening marble than a sharpening steel.
