This is a great knife sharpener. You be inflicted including to be a little careful including the XX Fair produce you can cut it if your not careful. But it don't pocket much ordinary sense to map that out! Very Sharp Knives, to put it in a nutshell and seems to be holding up skilled so far and I be inflicted including used it alot. Skilled Buy!!

A name said it above that this hone isn't for your mean Joe or even the mean sharpening buff. It's far too fine for that. I tend to top my fixed sack knives off at 1200 grit which is where this hone starts out. Where I found this thing actually excels is as a journey honest razor hone. With it I can rehone any of my razors with a few passes and some quick stropping on card board. I even managed to get a cheapy ($2.00) razor to shave this way even if it's edge didn't last long. It would also be great for quick maintenance on wood effective tools I infer. So if you're just looking for a good hone to get for daily type usage I would urge the coarse/fine or the fine/extra fine hone. This thing is damned glorious for what I use it for even if but those needs might not fit in with the mean user.

Currently i know that the speech "razor sharp" is used VERY loosely in the knife industry, but i guarantee that this will get on to your knife sharp as a damn razor, like shave your face razor sharp. As the other guy said even if, its got to have a defined edge already, cause this is just so fine that it would take FOREVER to put an edge back on a knife, and like him i recommend the Coarse/Fine Diafold, or flush a coarse bench stone if its really dull. But once this thing has an edge that it can get on to on, it turns that thing into a [...]mirror. Its a great piece of equipment, and if your an outdoors man and tired of a dull knife, get on to this and you troubles are over. I myself know its extremely trying to skin something with a dull knife, and this solves that aptly quick and in a hurry. All in all, a great buy and most definitely worth the money.

This is a splendid sharpener for putting a very fine edge on a knife. Its tiny size makes it nice and portable, but it is soothe generous ample to promptly upset up very near any knife. would buy over again.

Figured I would try this as I had heard they did a good job. I be inflicted with old stones all my life and permanently managed to get a extremely good advantage. These put an unbelievable advantage on a knife I be inflicted with to be extremely strict all my knives will now cut ! Easy to use. I also be inflicted with the red fine one so Its progressive.

This is not for basic sharpening, it is too fine for that task. But once you have put an edge to a blade this polishes it to razor serration. This used after the more all-function DMT coarse/fine sharpener DMT FWFC Dual Sided Diafold Sharpener Fine / Coarse will make your knives ready to shave your face. Hint: Fold a piece of paper twice from the confront (like a paper airplane, 90,45,22.5 degrees) to get the assess 22 1/5 point sharpening angle for your knives.

I own 2 Way/Fine pebbles and 2 Serration pebbles from DMT. They are hands down the best sharpeners I have ever used and they are exceptionally versatile and compact to carry everyplace. Well worth the cost.

I prearranged this product from Amazon and after receiving it, I noticed that the bonded colored fake pieces that make up the core of the sharpener were cracked and there were affront gaps present that must not be there....Unfortunately, I could not send it back to Amazon because I had already disposed of the packaging so instead I called up DMT and spoke with a woman named Kris. She was extremely kind and instructed me to just send the product to DMT (with concentration to Kris) and they would ship me out a replacement.After coming up nearly 3 weeks with no word from DMT, I called and spoke with Kris only to find out that she by no means expected my package. After finally coming to terms with the fact that my package must have gotten lost in the mail, (which is odd considering it was only traveling about 50 miles from my house to their factory) Kris told me not to worry about it, and had me confirm which model product it was, and said she would ship me out a new one.Now here is a company that not only stands behind their product, but also has the drive to "do right" by their customers! Very classy DMT!I hope this review helps guide public to give DMT a chance. They make an exceptional product and stand behind it! Oh, and I almost forgot... ....and four is better than two. I purchased both the course/fine and the superfluous fine/superfluous superfluous fine. I urge that combination for effectively any sharpening job.These compact sharpeners have handled knives, chisels, drill bits, hatchets, scissors, backyard pruners, and tin snips lacking a hitch.The sharpeners store in their own handles, require only fill up (or nothing at all), and 'clean up' with fill up as well. A terrific little sharpening tool that I use constantly.
