The original replacement paper works a lot better than the replacement paper bought at the local Lowes store. The replacement paper manufactured by Gator on occasion split in two because it appeared half sheets were glued together. Stick including the Rockwell paper!

I'm a long-calculate user of DMT bench stones in all their shape factors. Lately, I've been noticing evidence of poor feature hegemony. I just received a coarse flat file and a fine flat file. There are obvious bald areas on these files containing little or no shape grit. I probable best. Feature hegemony all owing to the manufacturing process is needed to obtain a more consistent and complete application of shape harsh on the working surface. I have been sharpening knives, axes, machetes, scissors, etc by hand for over 6 being now using diamond stones. I can get a pretty good edge, but after reading a book on the subject, I knew that I was never going to get that "factory" sharp feel on my knives without a tool.So I ordered the DMT Deluxe kit - in suspense to get that perfect 20 degree, or 18 degree grind...and I did...for one knife. Then a small fake nub, inside the alignment tool, snapped rancid, and it was impossible to get the tool to hold an slant, because of how the degree "inscription" are locked in place on that nub/lug. The tool became useless, unless I wanted one bevel incredibly sharp.I immediately emailed DMT expressing my problem. I never did get a response. The injection molded fake is as brittle as a child's toy, and really not nearly the quality of the stones they include with the kit (which imho, were pretty dang good.)
