SandBlaster 21220-CCG Sandpaper with No Slip Grip Backing, 220 Grit, 9 by 11-Inch, Gold, 10 Per Pack Purchaser Reviews

This no-slip sandpaper is supposed to last much longer than normal sandpaper, and it does. Even if, my complaint is not with the sanding properties, but with the no-slip monetary assistance. I have a 1/4-sheet sander with integral dust collector. I was sanding a red oak bench (raw wood) using the 220 grit 3M no-slip (the yellow document, not the purple) and everything seemed fine. I tend to change the sandpaper often to maintain good material removal and fixed sanding consequences. When I tried to take out the sandpaper from the pad, I right away noticed that the document had adhered to the sanding pad. In some seats the no-slip material had adhered so assertively that when I tried to pull it off, it actually pulled some of the sander's rubber pad off too!!! Not nice.1) I am not in the promote for a substitution 1/4-sheet sander in view of the fact that my old one is now ruined.2) I am going back to ordinary document-backed sandpaper for anything but hand sanding.Pros:DurableDoesn't clog as quickly as some other papersCons:No-Slip monetary assistance melts with friction heat and damages sander's padBacking is stiffer than fixed document and doesn't fold or bend almost astute corners (sanding blocks)=***********************=An important stay on-up: I was contacted by 3M's Consumer Service. They have poised me that the formulation for the no-slip monetary assistance is being changed. They are also paying to exchange the platen assembly on my sander. This is good consumer service. I'll wait a while for the old formula to sell out then try this product again. It's good sand document otherwise.

This is allocated as a rub down for sanding between coats of paint and it is the most excellent I be inflicted including old for including the intention of. Paint clogs rub down fast as it is new and this resists bottleneck closer than any I be inflicted including tried. It also keeps its fortitude serration for loads of era longer than the norm document. For me, in the lingering run, it is I don't know 10 era as economical than the norm document. I sterile it between uses including compressed air and it is extremely near be fond of new. It also has a abstractedly grippy fiscal assistance including the intention of helps care for it early sliding on the pas. It by no means always tears early slipping almost be fond of the low-deprivation material does. It cuts fast and cleanly. If here is a drawback it is including the intention of the abstractedly stiffer fiscal assistance can yield up a grave document cut. Use gloves.Robs Rating:Don't buy no matter what business moreover. This is the most excellent.

DMT FFC Diafold Diamond Flat Folding File Coarse User Reviews

I'm a long-calculate user of DMT bench stones in all their shape factors. Lately, I've been noticing evidence of poor feature hegemony. I just received a coarse flat file and a fine flat file. There are obvious bald areas on these files containing little or no shape grit. I probable best. Feature hegemony all owing to the manufacturing process is needed to obtain a more consistent and complete application of shape harsh on the working surface. I infer that this is what I must have probable at this fee point; unattractively be looking for a higher feature manufactured goods to replace these. - woodworker very skilled and handy to sharpen my pruners. DMT ADELUXE Aligner Deluxe Knife Sharpening Kit Reviews

I have been sharpening knives, axes, machetes, scissors, etc by hand for over 6 being now using diamond stones. I can get a pretty good edge, but after reading a book on the subject, I knew that I was never going to get that "factory" sharp feel on my knives without a tool.So I ordered the DMT Deluxe kit - in suspense to get that perfect 20 degree, or 18 degree grind...and I did...for one knife. Then a small fake nub, inside the alignment tool, snapped rancid, and it was impossible to get the tool to hold an slant, because of how the degree "inscription" are locked in place on that nub/lug. The tool became useless, unless I wanted one bevel incredibly sharp.I immediately emailed DMT expressing my problem. I never did get a response. The injection molded fake is as brittle as a child's toy, and really not nearly the quality of the stones they include with the kit (which imho, were pretty dang good.) The one knife I did sharpen with the tool took a great...
