Had to shorten the screws that hold the replacement pad as advised from additional reviews. By now used it for about 2 hours of ssnding and seems fine

It's almost just so the same as the old one (disintegrated on the sander), replacement is austere and easy, and now I can continue using the sander

Great sander, but the cost of substitution pads vs the early cost of tool is high-priced. Same sticky issue with all of the the gatekeeper-cable unsystematic orbit sanders pads overtime the pad disinergrates leave-compelling a effective tool unusable.

The replacement pad facility well sufficient, but it doesn't believe be fond of that it is vacant to last for very long. It does not grip the sandpaper as good as the first did as it was new.

The PC sander is a very creditable tool, but one note of caution: Don't diplomacy too many extra pads! The foam surrounded by the replacement pads have a - restricted storage - life... a brand new (but aged) unused pad will fall away from each other or disintegrate. Grabbing for the last of several stored in the back of the cabinet (3 being) it immediately fell away from each other when installed. I was disbelieving! Primarily in view of the fact that these are not cheap bits and pieces. Report has it that the R&D specialty at gatekeeper Cable hasn't done their investigate.

Almost, it's about a fraction of an mm off. Why does PC do that with different pads on various 5" models? Doesn't make any sense, they all should be interchangeable. This is like Milwaukee batteries. In any case, enlarging the holes just a little will make it fit nicely on the 343. I notice the backing is a plastic plate on the replacement where the original was aluminum. Seems like if the pads needed to be replaced every few months, it doesn't matter. So couple of pad replacements is about the original cost of the PC unit. And for the cost of the pad alone you may possibly buy the Port Goods 5" ROS on sale and throw it away every year or so. Maybe I'll just have couple of HFs around as spares - cheap enough. When my original pad on the PC worn out I used hot glue as an emergency while the replacement was in transit. Hot glue seems to work ok, glue comes off nicely too when unreliable papers. Excellent sander, not so good pad.

I'm now on my third pad. Granted I use the sander frequently and it is over 6 being old. Bottom line the sander has exceeded my expectations and keeps on going (bit noisier now than new) but the velcro stops working on the pad requiring substitution. Good that PC offers a substitution. Hopefully they take up again to do so as I noticed they updated the design of the 5" H&L random orbit.

The pad is an straightforward substitution and facility beautifully. What they don't caution you is including the intention of it including the intention of the pad ALSO replaces the fixed 333 sander. I couldn't discover any report on this so I only took a chance. The 333 and 333VS ARE interchangeable. I actually be fond of shopping Amazon. So at this calculate's your promote. road Antechamber
